Words on paper, their meanings long gone
Friends and fakers, the difference is none
Promises drowned out, neglected, and rotten
With the sheer stench of lies, it seems I've forgotten
How to gain someone's trust
Or is it just them?
I could never guess with this incessant mayhem
Betrayed, paranoid, and insecure
Everyone's fighting in this nightmarish war
Will a winner emerge?
Only time will tell
But right now everything seems headed straight to hell
I guess that's why they say
"Think before you speak"
'Cause once the damage is done
Our bonds become weak
Everyone's an enemy, a target, if you will
Distrust is something that's become run-of-the-mill
Hands are being dirtied, blood is being shed
The fictions people spout dye this world in red
It's everywhere, truth and lies become one
Don't waste your time hiding, don't even try to run
In reality, words are the only thing with power
Think of all the lies you can tell in an hour
How? You probably think me insane
Lemme stop you there, 'cause your conjecture is inane
Ruminate, ponder, is the picture still opaque?
Give it some thought for your own sake
After all, the pen is mightier than the sword
His actions spoke, but his words roared

One thing, and really, only a grammar freak like me would notice. In the line "Lemme stop you there, 'cause you're conjecture is insane", your use of 'you're' is incorrect. You're is the contraction of you are, and so it doesn't make sense. In context, I'm assuming you meant 'your', indicating that the conjecture belongs to the 'you' of the audience.
If you read it aloud, however, it doesn't matter because they sound the same.
